Xianlin University Town is located in the middle of Qixia District, Nanjing, at the foot of Zijin Mountain, with a distance of Xinjiekou 15km. 1995 began planning, and construction officially started in June 2002. It is one of the earliest university towns in China.

Xianlin University Town is a key area for the development of higher education industry in Jiangsu Province, focusing on high-end communities and scientific research institutions scattered around the country, drawing on the planning of noble humanistic communities abroad, and aiming at high development with a high starting point and green humanities as the theme.

By the end of 20 13, there were 12 universities, 6 primary and secondary schools and nearly 20 kindergartens in Xianlin University Town.
