Since the resumption of the national college entrance examination, higher education in China, as the leader of education in China, has developed rapidly and promoted the all-round development of education in China. From the speeches of the relevant leaders of the Ministry of Education, we know that the gross enrollment rate of higher education in China has reached 2 1%, and the number of people receiving higher education in China has become the first in the world! This is a very remarkable achievement.
Educators in our country have been carrying out educational reform, and at present, educational reform has achieved certain success. First, strengthen basic education, improve the conditions for running basic education, transform dilapidated buildings in rural schools, encourage non-governmental organizations and individuals to invest in education, and sponsor the establishment of Hope Primary School. Last year, the state proposed that tuition fees for compulsory education should be completely free within three to five years, which will certainly improve the opportunities for rural children to receive education and enhance the fairness of education in China. The power of the college entrance examination is delegated to the local authorities, which is a typical example of promoting education equity in China.
But education is still a very weak link in China, and I think the impetuous phenomenon of education in China is very prominent at present. First, it pays more attention to utility than humanity in education. I remember a teacher once blatantly told students that studying is to make big money and marry beautiful women. This is not an isolated phenomenon. Now many parents and students study for the same purpose. As educators, teachers will also instill this utilitarian idea into students when educating them, lacking humanistic education for students. Second, major events in colleges and universities are light. At present, many colleges and universities are competing for buildings, expanding enrollment, building tall buildings and building new campuses, while ignoring the connotation construction of schools, the cultivation of masters, the quality education of students and the construction of a good educational environment. Third, in the middle school stage, the examination is emphasized and the quality is ignored. Quality education has been sung for so many years, but it is just a dazzling quality suit outside the exam-oriented education gown. Many middle schools only take the enrollment rate as the evaluation standard, but ignore the cultivation of students' quality in all aspects.
Another prominent problem in China's education is the uneven distribution of educational resources, the huge gap between urban and rural educational resources, and rural children can not enjoy "citizen treatment" when studying in cities.
