According to the Notice of Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Anhui Provincial People's Government on the Reform Plan of Party and Government Organizations in Huangshan City (No.38 [2002] of Anhui Province), Huangshan Municipal Education Commission was renamed Huangshan Municipal Education Bureau. The Municipal Education Bureau is an integral part of the municipal government and is in charge of the city's education work.
