Liu Guonan was born in Xiaoyugou Village, Xiaojia Town, Fuyu County on March 1956. Graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Northeast Normal University, he is currently the president and senior painter of Changbai Mountain Painting Academy in China, the professor and deputy director of the Fine Arts Department of Jilin Institute of Education, the visiting professor of Yanbian University and Jilin Normal University in China, the director of the Fine Arts Teaching and Research Committee of China Education Society, the member of China Industrial Design Association and China Artists Association, and the researcher of the World Culture and Art Research Center. The new techniques of China landscape painting initiated by him have influenced the painting circles at home and abroad, and were rated as "one of the top 100 in China" by China Baijia Expo. He has lived in the United States, Singapore, Malaysia and other places for a long time to give lectures, and has held 1 1 solo exhibitions in San Francisco, new york, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan Province Province, Guangzhou, Hainan, Harbin and Changchun. He has published monographs such as Liu Guo's Painting Collection, Liu Guo's Selected Traditional Chinese Paintings, Liu Guo's Landscape Painting Collection and New Techniques of China Landscape Painting, and edited many books for teaching. He has published many papers on art education, and his masterpieces "Soul of Changbai Mountain" and "Snow Map of Changbai Mountain" have been rated as "the best in the world".
