Introduction to the Theoretical System of Mao Zedong Thought and Socialism with Chinese characteristics (hereinafter referred to as "Introduction" course) is a compulsory ideological and political theory course in higher vocational colleges, which plays an important role in the ideological and political education of college students. Introduction, as a public course, is different from other professional courses, which is directly manifested in imparting certain vocational skills. More is to reveal the basic laws of social development in China to students, so that students can clearly understand the internal relationship between history and reality, correctly understand the relationship between individuals and society, and understand how to do things and behave. The traditional teaching method is that the teacher stands on the platform by himself, mechanically instilling students with a mouth, a book, a piece of chalk and a blackboard, and the effect is not ideal.
Nowadays, college students basically belong to the post-90s generation. They have lived in a society with complicated information since childhood and have a certain understanding of society, but they are often one-sided and naive. They emphasize individuality, and they are generally disgusted and prejudiced against ideological and political theory education. Coupled with the polarization of students' level in higher vocational colleges, students have psychological problems of lack of self-confidence and their learning attitude is generally passive.
