Present situation of contemporary patriotism education
(A) At present, China's patriotism education is mainly to guide college students to correctly understand patriotism, but it is affected by objective factors in actual operation, and the effect is not ideal. Without a long-term mechanism that pays attention to patriotism education, formalism will appear in most classrooms. At that time, students' patriotism was infected by the classroom atmosphere, but it will decline rapidly with the passage of time. I didn't really understand the meaning of patriotism. At the same time, some colleges and universities also lack the systematization of patriotism education. The teaching content is often east and west, lacking the support of the education system. The patriotic feelings emphasized are also fixed on some behaviors, rather than being educated as an idea. In addition, the patriotic education received by contemporary college students generally lacks the characteristics of the times. Patriotism education in many universities is still in a relatively backward era. For example, modern education methods such as national awakening are the mainstream, and patriotism education is not carried out in combination with the actual social situation. This kind of education can't make contemporary college students substitute in it better, nor can it achieve the purpose of inheriting patriotism.

Moreover, under the education of contemporary patriotism, whether on campus or in society, we usually meet people who are called "angry youths". These people are blindly patriotic, lack good judgment on form, and shout patriotic slogans without concrete actions. For example, in the Diaoyu Islands dispute between China and Japan, even college students lost their minds and smashed cars in the streets, which fully reflected the imperfection of patriotism education in some aspects. Students can't keep rational thinking in such incidents. At the same time, under the bad guidance of some modern media, there will be a large number of such blind patriotic people. This irrational so-called patriotic behavior will not only help the society and the country, but also disrupt the normal social order and cause bad influence.

(2) National defense education is equally important, and it is a derivative embodiment of patriotism. China colleges and universities do not pay enough attention to national defense education, and contemporary college students generally do not have a perfect embodiment of national defense awareness. The survey shows that more than 60% of college students in China think that national defense education has little to do with it, especially when China is in a peaceful and stable situation for a long time, and there is no basic national defense knowledge at all. Contemporary college students generally still think that the present study is only to lay the foundation for future work, lacking the basic sense of national defense responsibility. Compared with the knowledge of national defense education, they are more willing to learn the skills they use and don't care about military knowledge and news. In addition to leaving the military academy, contemporary college students strongly resist participating in serving the motherland. These phenomena are mainly caused by the weak national defense education teachers in colleges and universities in China. Although most colleges and universities have military research rooms, there are often no corresponding full-time teachers to offer courses. Most national defense education courses are superficial and have no substantive content. Even some schools are equipped with relevant full-time teachers, but because most teachers are not military professionals themselves, they only engage in teaching after hasty training and lack a correct understanding of national defense education.

There is a lot of national defense education in the school itself, and there is no correct understanding of college students' national defense consciousness. For example, there are many voluntary associations of students in the school, and many military and national defense-related associations lack the support of the school. Some students who are interested in military knowledge and willing to receive national defense education have gradually changed under the influence of the big environment, and the whole campus lacks the atmosphere of learning national defense education knowledge.
