What is experiential education?
So what is experiential education?

The "body" of "experience" is to put yourself in the shoes and experience it personally; "Examination" is to examine feelings, verify and check. Experience is a process, personal experience and unteachability, and it is a process full of personality and creativity.

Experiential education is not simple entertainment. Spent a lot of money and wasted a lot of time. Apart from temporary happiness, it is not good to cultivate children's interest and improve their creativity.

Experiential education is an educational model in which learners acquire scientific knowledge, develop moral quality and master skills through personal experience and verification.

Experiential education will first create a simulated scene, and then let the experiencer enter the scene. In this created scene, the experiencers will face some problems and obstacles, and they must take the initiative to find solutions to these problems in order to escape from this simulated scene smoothly within the specified time.

Whether the result is success or failure, the experiencer must review and summarize the activities just now. Through the method of collective discussion, the ability and knowledge to solve these problems are extracted, and how to use these abilities in life is deduced.

Generally speaking, experiential education includes four stages:

(1) Experience stage. That is, the stage when an individual experiences something or a situation personally.

(2) the formation stage. That is, the stage in which individuals abstract and summarize the above-mentioned experience and form concepts or concepts.

(3) Inspection stage. That is, the stage in which individuals test the formed concepts or concepts in the new situation.

(4) reflection stage. That is, the stage of reflecting on the concepts or concepts that have been formed, generating new experiences and new understandings, and constantly generating cycles.

It can be seen that experiential teaching is a teaching method to promote the experiencer to constantly produce new experiences and new understandings, thus developing the experiencer's ability to adapt to nature and society, forming a positive attitude towards life and promoting personality growth.

What role can experiential education play for children and adolescents? What kind of effect can it bring? Some institutions have conducted professional investigation and research, and reached the following conclusions:

First, children's personal abilities can be developed and improved.

Second, improving children's ability to take responsibility is to make children have a sense of responsibility.

Third, social integration and social role orientation.

Fourth, when encountering problems, children know how to advance and retreat and know how to protect themselves.

Fifth, build trust.

Sixth, improve the ability to solve problems, and how to solve them when encountering problem children.

Seventh, improve children's ability to reflect and summarize according to their experiences.

Eighth, children's ability to evaluate self-worth. It is very important for a person to feel whether I have value, where my value lies, what I can do and what I can't do.

.......

In the past, education only focused on students' intelligence education, but there were many problems in students' growth education, and there were no good solutions. Ignoring students' social activities and personal needs leads to problems such as poor health, lack of self-confidence, lack of initiative, lack of adventurous spirit and creativity, lack of self-cultivation or self-discipline, and lack of understanding and trust in others. Experiential education can improve these problems and is a powerful course to ensure the healthy growth of students.
