As an integral part of Chongqing's policies, Chongqing Municipal Education Commission is responsible for guiding the education industry, work-study programs, school logistics reform and security work.

Support the development of 10 national "double high plan" higher vocational colleges, and build 2 high-level vocational colleges with China characteristics and 12 professional groups. Construction 15 municipal "double high plan" higher vocational colleges and 60 professional groups.

Build 40 state-level high-quality secondary vocational schools and 120 high-quality majors. Build 10 national high-quality technical schools and 10 high-quality majors. We will build 50 high-quality secondary vocational schools with 2 10 majors.

Carry out the provincial pilot reform of national vocational education. Promote the running conditions of vocational colleges to meet the standards. Build a number of demonstration virtual simulation training bases.

Optimize and adjust the layout structure of colleges and universities. Introduce five well-known domestic universities to cooperate in running schools in Chongqing. Promote the construction of Chongqing College of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yangtze River Joint Graduate School of Ecological Environment, Chongqing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Yangtze Conservatory of Music.

Implement the construction of high-level universities. Strive to build two national first-class disciplines, and build 12 high-level universities with the characteristics of "new engineering, new medicine, new liberal arts and new agricultural science", 20 demonstration modern industrial colleges and future technical colleges.

Strive to add 2-3 doctoral degree awarding units, 2-3 master degree awarding units and 2-3 bachelor degree awarding units, and add a number of doctoral and master degree authorization points.
