Beijing Opera Art Vocational College, located in Beijing, is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning approved by the Beijing Municipal People's Government and put on record by the Ministry of Education. It is the only independent art vocational college in Beijing.
The predecessor of the College was the Beijing Private Art Training Opera School founded by 1952, and it was taken over by the Beijing Municipal Government in 1953 and renamed as Beijing Opera School.
Famous performing artists Hao, Ma and Ren are principals.
In February 2002, 65438 College was established, and full-time higher vocational education was formally held. The college covers an area of 44.69 mu. In 2006, Beijing Institute of Art merged with the College, which enriched the teaching and research strength of the College. There are 357 employees and 233 full-time teachers, including 67 experts with associate senior titles or above.
