The internationalization of education is the development trend of international exchanges, discussions and cooperation to solve common problems in education after the Second World War. It is characterized by the emergence and development of international educational organizations. UNESCO was founded in 1948 with the aim of promoting cooperation among countries in education, science and culture. Subsequently, the International Bureau of Education, the International Labour Organization, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the Southeast Asian Education Ministers' Meeting were established one after another, and they began to discuss education issues of common concern.
There are more and more frequent cultural and educational exchanges among countries, more and more exchanges between teachers and researchers, more and more international students, and more and more exchanges and cooperation in teaching materials. Every country is reforming the closed and isolated academic system, which makes the development trend of schools at all levels in China and abroad consistent. In the future, the objects, systems, contents, forms and methods of education in different countries will be more and more similar, and the trend of internationalization will be strengthened day by day.
The internationalization of education is always faced with the contradiction between internationalization and localization. True internationalization is not a complete copy, but a reference in concept, form and method. Is to grasp and develop education with international consciousness and vision, and cultivate talents with China mind, facing the world, proficient in Chinese and Western, liberal arts and sciences, and free and all-round development.
