At the beginning of 1949, the wave of the war of liberation was sweeping China with the potential of starting a prairie fire. Meng Ling, who was only 8 years old, was specially recruited into the army with her sweet voice and lovely image and became a special "baby soldier" in the army art troupe. Recalling the eventful years of blood and fire, Meng Ling said with emotion that he grew up in a "soldier's backpack". 1950, the Korean War broke out, and the following year, Meng Ling joined the army to fight in the DPRK. As the youngest literary fighter in the propaganda team, Meng Ling's crisp and loud singing gave great encouragement to the soldiers who fought bloody battles in the bullets. They affectionately call her "Little Zi Ling". The following year, Meng Ling returned to the motherland from the Korean front and went back to school to continue his studies. Accustomed to the life of hunting horses and collecting dust, Meng Ling, Jr., who has returned to an unremarkable life, still has some discomfort, especially in his studies. The gap between dropping out of school is too great, and Meng Ling Jr. has encountered unprecedented difficulties. However, years of war have tempered Meng Ling's indomitable will. With the indomitable spirit, Meng Ling, who only has a first-grade education, completed the five-year primary school curriculum in just three months and was successfully admitted to Tianjin key middle school. 1956, 16-year-old Meng Ling was admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music with the first place in her major and became the first direct disciple of the famous vocal educator Mr. Guo Shuzhen.
Entering the highest music school in China, Meng Ling set himself a goal: to be the first in every subject! Meng Ling is not afraid of other classes, but piano lessons make it difficult for her. Due to the difficult family conditions, Meng Ling had never touched the piano before he went to college, and he couldn't play a note. In order to capture this "fortress", Meng Ling sacrificed all his rest time and spent every day in the piano room. She bought a box of matches, practiced the song again, took out one, and when she finished practicing, she practiced another one and put it back. Soon, the match head of that box of matches was polished and the matchbox fell apart. Finally, Meng Ling finished her piano lesson with the first place in her class. 1963, the world-famous vocal master Bren Ballauff came to China to start an expert class, with only 10 students. Meng Ling, who was still a student at that time, was eager to enter the exam, and everyone around her discouraged her and threw cold water on her. Hungry for knowledge and fearless of difficulties, Meng Ling once again challenged himself and proved himself. He competed with many famous singers in China at that time, and finally successfully passed the exam, becoming the youngest student in the master class.
1964, Meng Ling graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music with excellent results. According to the previous arrangement, she was ready to join the Song and Dance Troupe of the General Political Department. During this period, Meng Ling was selected as a delegation of artists from China and went abroad for a visit and exchange on 1965. During 1966, the delegation returned from Tibet. Due to the turmoil of the Cultural Revolution, Meng Ling was forced to stay in Tibet, and later joined the Song and Dance Troupe of the Tibet Military Region. In today's people's eyes, it is really hard to accept the "bad luck" of staying in Beijing and joining the Song and Dance Troupe of the General Political Department, but running to such a remote and cold place in Tibet, while Meng Ling, who is naturally cheerful and optimistic, doesn't care at all. In Lhasa, Meng Ling quickly overcame the discomfort caused by altitude sickness, became a pillar in the art troupe, and even studied Tibetan with his good friend Tibetan singer Cai Danzhuoma. To Meng Ling's special delight, she also harvested her sweet love in that remote snowy plateau. Mr. Li Zhiliang is a high flyers majoring in stage art in the Central Academy of Drama. After graduation, he voluntarily went to the hardest place in the motherland and came to Tibet. With the blessing of the holy mountain and the holy lake, Meng Ling and Li Zhiliang began their happy life of living together for more than 40 years in the snowy plateau.
From 65438 to 0969, Meng Ling was transferred to the Zhanqi Song and Dance Troupe of Chengdu Military Region as the solo and lead singer of the opera. She soon became the pillar of the group and also served as the vocal music captain in charge of vocal music guidance for members. 1979, Meng Ling, whose singing career was in full swing, was invited and chose to be a teacher in the Music Department of PLA Art College to engage in vocal music education. Since then, a dazzling singer has been missing from the spotlight, and a quiet gardener has been added to a small room in the North Piano Room of Military Arts. In this line of work, Meng Ling has worked for 30 years.
