The development of China's teaching theory is full of twists and turns, which can be roughly divided into four stages.

Encounter setbacks

From 1966 to 1976, due to the special historical background, the development of teaching theory suffered setbacks, the tradition was abandoned, the introduction was rejected and criticized, and the teaching theory in this period was almost at a standstill.

Prosperity and development

From 1976, we began to sort out and inherit the heritage of teaching theory in China history. At the same time, we have translated and introduced a large number of foreign teaching theory works and carried out extensive teaching theory research. New viewpoints, teaching models and teaching methods are constantly emerging, which ushered in the period of prosperity and development of teaching theory.
