In order to optimize the development layout of higher education in Shandong Province, the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government implemented the reform of integration of science and education, and integrated the resources of Taishan Medical College, Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences, Shandong Provincial Hospital and Shandong Qianfoshan Hospital to form Shandong First Medical University. Approved by the Ministry of Education, Shandong First Medical University was formally established in February, 2065438+2009, bearing the brand of Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences.

The school (hospital) has campuses in Jinan and Tai 'an, the main campus is located in the core area of Jinan International Medical Science Center (No.6699 Qingdao Road, Jinan), and there are research institutions in Jinan, Qingdao and Jining, covering a total area of more than 6,000 mu.
