In 2007, before it was separated from China Education Television, it was also called China Education Television Shandong Station (CETV-SD). It is a provincial education TV station in People's Republic of China (PRC) and the only local education TV station in Chinese mainland. Headquartered in Jinan City, Shandong Province, it is jointly organized by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the People's Government of Shandong Province.
It is the only provincial education satellite TV in China. The program covers the whole country of China and more than a dozen neighboring countries and regions, and has fully entered the cable TV network and digital TV platform of large and medium-sized cities in China.
