Online marking is implemented in the ordinary high school academic level examination. Candidates must answer questions on the answer sheet, and the answers written on the test paper and draft paper are invalid.

The high school academic level examination, commonly known as the "senior high school entrance examination", is an examination to identify the learning quality of ordinary high school students. Relevant policies are formulated by provinces and cities with different requirements. The examination covers all 14 subjects, including 9 subjects organized by the provincial level, and other subjects require the unification of the whole province. Examination subjects can be selected from 6 to 3, 7 to 3, etc. In order to dilute the score, the score is divided into five grades.
