Two fundamental changes are taking place in human society, namely, the transition from an industrialized society to a knowledge-based economy society, and the transition from one-off academic education to lifelong learning. Due to the influence of traditional education mode, parents, schools and social departments in China have not reached such a consensus and have not enough foresight. They still regard academic degree education as the only way to achieve positive results.
2. Schools and society unilaterally pursue the value bias of further education.
In recent years, the education department in China has made new progress in implementing quality education in many aspects, such as curriculum reform, the construction of teachers, the informationization of education, and the conditions for running schools in rural areas. However, it also faces many difficulties. A considerable number of areas emphasize knowledge indoctrination and teaching, ignoring personality development and ability training, emphasizing selective examinations and ignoring evaluation diversity.
3. The academic system is too long.
Now there are 6 years in primary school, 3 years in junior high school and 3 years in senior high school, plus universities and graduate students. From elementary school to graduate school, nearly 20 years of study time is a bit too long for a person's life. Around the age of 20, the human brain is the most active. At this time, people should discover and create, not chew on textbooks.
4. The learning content is too complicated and rigid.
Students generally feel that there is too much to learn and there is no end in sight. Under the current entrance examination mode, education pays too much attention to examination skills and adopts the way of over-study and intensive training. Students' vision is limited to textbooks, and they have no time to participate in extracurricular activities beneficial to intellectual development, and they know little about the outside world.
5. The study burden is too heavy.
Since primary school, the competition for learning has begun. The competition is fierce and cruel. In order to go to a good school, parents and teachers constantly urge their children to study. In the long student life, people can't relax and slack off, otherwise they will fall behind. Since primary school, children have to attend various cram schools in addition to school, and rest is a luxury for them.
