Safety education day

April 15, 2023 is the eighth National Safety Education Day. National security is all for the people and all depends on the people. We must adhere to the overall concept of national security and build an iron wall to safeguard national security. This year's theme is "implementing the overall national security concept, enhancing the national security awareness and literacy of the whole people, and consolidating the social foundation for ensuring the new development pattern with the new security pattern".

Where did National Safety Education Day come from?

On July 6, 2065, the 15th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th NPC passed the National Security Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), which came into force as of the date of promulgation. Article 14 of the National Security Law stipulates that April 15 is the national security education day for all people.

What is national security?

According to Article 2 of the National Security Law, national security refers to the state power, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, people's well-being, sustainable economic and social development and other major national interests, and the ability to safeguard national security.

In order to reflect the requirements of the overall national security concept, the National Security Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) defines the national security tasks in the fields of political security, economic security, homeland security, military security, economic security, cultural security, social security, scientific and technological security, information security, ecological security, resource security and nuclear security.
