What is the educational significance of The Book of Songs?
The Book of Songs is the origin of China literature. It used to be a textbook for Confucius' disciples. Today, we take our children to learn the Book of Songs, which is naturally different from the time when Confucius lived. The Book of Songs is more of a cultural and aesthetic significance for us and our children. We should pay more attention to this when teaching, that is, cultural education and aesthetic education are two key points in our classroom teaching.

A tree can only grow if it has roots, and a person can only stand if it has roots. As two sources of China literature, The Book of Songs and Poems of Dreams are indispensable for students' understanding. Only by understanding it can we deeply understand classical literature and modern literature. As a Chinese teacher, due to the lack of knowledge in that special era, the author often has a little knowledge when reading ancient literary works. Today's children, we really shouldn't let them leave the regrets of our generation.

When students are studying the Book of Songs, it is difficult for them to understand poetry because of a long time, which requires our teachers to explain the background of the times and the role of poetry at that time, understand the manifestations of the Book of Songs, such as the so-called "six meanings" of the Book of Songs, and let students know, analyze and understand its expressive functions in combination with specific poems. This can give students learning tools and let them learn and understand by themselves. Moreover, these "tools" are also the origins of many of our expressions today, and some of them are still in use today. Some teachers give up this piece in teaching, simply tell students, lead students to understand the main idea of poetry, and then recite it. This is really a great waste of educational resources, and it can even be said that "I have forgotten my ancestors after several times."

Most of the poems in The Book of Songs come from life and folk, with pure and simple language, vivid life and strong expressive force. Many of them are still in use today. Reading aloud can lead students to appreciate it carefully, which is of great help to children's language level, language expression and guiding children to learn language from life. As for how children "read" in class, I don't think it is necessary to emphasize the forms of "reading aloud" and "singing". Anyway, we don't know how people read these poems in the Spring and Autumn Period. Now that we imitate this and compare that, it is inevitable to draw a tiger instead of a cat. Instead, let students express their understanding freely and individually.

Many poems in The Book of Songs are beautiful chapters, and the lives of the characters are dreamlike. That beautiful artistic conception can really make people linger and sublimate their souls. For example, in the poem Guanluo, the man who pursues my fair lady is so affectionate, so persistent, so haunted, so tossing and turning, and we read it so vividly that we can't help worrying about his love fate. For example, in the poem "Sword Armor", the artistic conception of "Iraqis are on the water side" and "Everything is in the middle of the water" will also make us cry. This kind of edification and infection of beauty will improve students over time. Maybe that's how gentlemen and ladies are made. To do this, it is difficult to do it without students' imagination and association. Teachers should pay attention! By guiding students to imagine and empathize on the basis of understanding words, students' thoughts and feelings will be sublimated and their understanding of beauty will be improved day by day.
