When "virtual reality" meets "medical education"! Not only excited the teacher, but also the students were overwhelmed. In recent years, there has been a wave of "flip education" in the field of education. The idea behind it is that students can spontaneously contact the course knowledge, devote themselves to learning, enjoy learning, and even forget that they are learning. Zhongtai University of Science and Technology cooperated with HTC DeepQ Health Care Division to set up the first virtual reality anatomy and physiology laboratory in Taiwan Province Province, which brought VR to the campus, realized the immersive VR anatomy and physiology learning experience, and turned medical education upside down. This can not only enhance students' willingness to learn, but also improve the learning effect, so that "virtual reality" is no longer a gimmick, and it also carries the mission of "precision medical education". Zhongtai University of Science and Technology established the first virtual reality anatomy and physiology laboratory in Taiwan Province Province.
Chen Jinxing, vice president of China Taiwan Province University of Science and Technology, who vigorously promotes the virtual reality anatomy and physiology laboratory, said that under the impact of declining birthrate, universities have tried their best to recruit students, and how to create characteristics to attract students is the most important topic at present. Taiwan Province, China is a health care university. Introducing VR into medical teaching this time will redefine teaching methods and create a brand-new teaching mode, which will surely lead the trend. Only talking about China and Taiwan Province in the future will remind people of VR University and make it a first-class institution that all students in Taiwan Province yearn for.
Anatomy is a compulsory course for medical related majors, but traditional teaching methods are not easy for students to understand. 3D Organon is a virtual reality anatomical physiology teaching system launched by the Virtual Reality Anatomy Physiology Laboratory of Central Taiwan Province University of Science and Technology, which was developed by Dr. Athanasios Raikos, a professor of anatomy and a physician at Bond University. It has more than 4,000 simulated human structures and organs, and is the first virtual reality anatomy teaching system in the world, which is presented in combination with three-dimensional images of virtual reality.
Virtual reality makes anatomy teaching no longer limited by visual angle.
After the students put on VR equipment and entered the virtual environment, the three-dimensional mannequin stood by. In addition to surrounding the human model and observing the relative positions of various organs, they can also "walk into" the model and learn its internal structure and blood vessel distribution, thus achieving penetrating interaction that traditional anatomical models cannot learn. Anatomy teaching system can also disassemble various organs and structures through the controller in hand, or move to the front to observe details from different angles. Combining interesting, interactive and immersive learning methods, students can learn anatomy well quickly.
Experience VR and see how medical education will evolve in the future.
Chen Weilu, a teacher in the Department of Nursing at China National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, said that even though the teaching methods of traditional anatomy courses are matched with anatomical models, students' concentration in class is still not high. Through the VR anatomy teaching system 3D Organon, students can walk around in the virtual environment and move the visual angle, so as to observe the relative position of human organs in the three-dimensional model, enhance their willingness to learn anatomy, and change passive learning into active learning.
From preview to review, flip medical education
Students can learn anatomy interactively in virtual reality anatomical physiology laboratory and self-study center by using 3D Organon virtual reality anatomical physiology teaching system. You can also study on the tablet after returning home. With the unique zoom-in and zoom-out function of the 3D Organon tablet and the operation mode that the 3D model can be flipped 360 degrees with a touch, we can better understand the detailed anatomical structure and the explanation of related parts. For anatomy teachers, in addition to the traditional anatomy picture briefing course, three-dimensional anatomy structure can be projected in the classroom, so that teachers can explain every detail structure and spatial structure relationship at will, which breaks through the limitation that the previous anatomy picture briefing can not be rotated, perspective and disassembled at will.
