The newly added discipline of education and education research in the University of Hong Kong ranks first this year. This new discipline ranks on the threshold of 200 academic papers from 2016 to 2020, among which 182 universities were selected for evaluation. After selection, 100 universities were ranked, covering 47 disciplines.
This new discipline is classified as soft science, and the ranking selection criteria are based on various bibliometric academic research performance data, including the number of published papers (12.5%), the total cited times (15%) and the number of papers with the highest cited rate (15%).
The School of Education of the University of Hong Kong has become one of the top ten disciplines of major universities in the world. The college recently ranked fifth in the world in Times Higher Education in 2023, up one place from last year.
The Chinese University of China (CUHK) is a collegiate university. The history of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in China began with the merger of Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College on 1963, followed by the establishment of Shaw College on 1986, Morningside College and Shanheng College in 2006, and Wenjing College, Wu Yisun College and Harmony College in 2007. By 20 12, there will be nine colleges on the campus of CUHK. Cuhk is the only university in Hong Kong that implements the college system.
