Xinmeiyuan Urban Farm is located in Sanxiushan Village, Tongan District, Xiamen. The farm is built in combination with the landscaping art of China gardens, including the ecological experience hall, high-tech agriculture exhibition hall, aerospace fruit and vegetable exhibition hall, colorful pepper sightseeing picking hall, vegetable landscape exhibition hall, etc., so that tourists can learn more about agriculture, become interested in agriculture, and understand the development of modern agriculture and traditional agriculture.

Today, it is also a social practice base for primary and secondary school students in Xiamen. Here, visitors can experience picking fruits and vegetables, planting succulents, pulling and baking sweet potatoes in the field, playing with plant puzzles, experiencing soilless culture and tasting healthy food in ecological restaurants.

With the course of "Spring blossoms and plowing, labor practice is urgent", we will go deep into cultivated land and explore sustainable agriculture and ecological agriculture.

The first stop of practical activities is "DIY of succulents". Students chose their favorite shapes and colors of succulents and introduced a unique immersive planting experience. DIY steps: Choose more meat-take pots-fill soil-undress-plant-fill soil-decorate.

Under the guidance of the research tutor, students personally perceive the temperature of the soil and make their own unique and out-of-print meat gently, slowly and step by step.

Red pepper, like cucurbitaceae plants, makes students full of curiosity and curiosity about space breeding. Students participate in the interaction between the scene and the real scene, understand the planting and characteristics of aerospace vegetable varieties, broaden their horizons, and trigger students to think about the origin of food for three meals a day on the table.
