Shizhong District is the only national "advanced area of basic education", "advanced area of special education", "advanced area of early childhood education" and the national experimental area of learning in regular classes in Jinan. It is the first county and district in Shandong Province to popularize experimental teaching, the first batch of demonstration areas for educational work and the first batch of experimental areas for new curriculum reform.

Located in the south-central part of Jinan, Shizhong District is the seat of the main organs of the provincial party, government and army, the political, financial and commercial center of Jinan, the provincial capital, with an area of 280. 19 square kilometers and 17 sub-district offices with a total population of 562,200. There are 66 schools of various types in the jurisdiction, including 50 primary schools, 5 junior high schools/KLOC-0 and 5 vocational schools/KLOC-0, with 50,208 students and 4,098 teaching staff.
