How to improve the teaching ability of young teachers in colleges and universities
1 Colleges and universities should do a good job in top-level design and improve the performance appraisal system.

(1) Improve the teacher training system.

Promote the normalization of teacher training, explore the implementation of credit management, and regard training credits as an important basis for teacher assessment and job appointment. Establish a teacher development center in colleges and universities, and regularly invite well-known professors with rich teaching experience to exchange guidance and impart experience to young teachers. Realize the "young teacher tutorial system", equip new teachers with "teaching tutors", and select outstanding old teachers from our college or department to give "one-on-one, face-to-face" professional guidance to new teachers.

Further earnestly implement the pre-service training courses for new teachers. In the pre-job training, we should provide comprehensive guidance and follow-up training on new teachers' morality, teaching system and design, teaching methods and skills, ensure that every new teacher can complete the pre-job training with good quality and quantity, and let young teachers adapt to the new role orientation as soon as possible. Deepen the in-service professional discipline training of young teachers, and improve their professional teaching ability in combination with their own professional development needs. Encourage and fund excellent teachers to exchange visits abroad, learn from foreign excellent teaching and lecturing experience, and broaden their horizons.

(2) Normalization and popularization of teaching skill competition.

Schools and colleges should regularly organize a series of business competitions, such as lecture competitions and courseware PPT competitions, and encourage young teachers to participate. Rewarding the ranked teachers and incorporating them into the year-end performance appraisal can better stimulate the initiative and enthusiasm of young teachers to improve their teaching skills and promote their professional ability.

(3) Improve the teacher evaluation system and incentive system.

Further highlight the proportion of educational and teaching achievements in performance distribution, job title evaluation and employment, and post promotion assessment, and improve the teaching enthusiasm of young teachers.

To further improve the evaluation system of teachers' education and teaching performance, we should not only bring the teaching workload into the evaluation system, but also bring the teaching effect and quality, teaching innovation and reform into the evaluation system to increase its proportion in the evaluation of teaching performance. The school should establish a system that can quantify the above contents in order to be included in the performance appraisal at the end of the year. At the same time, teachers' participation in various lecture competitions and related teaching honors are included in the education and teaching workload and included in the annual assessment content. Encourage young teachers to make more attendance records and summaries, and incorporate them into the performance appraisal system. Schools should set up a teaching reward and honorary certificate system for teachers who have been engaged in teaching for a long time.

(4) Establish and improve the post system of new teachers' teaching assistants.

The post of teaching assistant undertakes teaching auxiliary tasks such as classroom teaching, organizing discussion, correcting homework papers, counseling and answering questions, and assisting internship practice. Colleges and universities should establish and improve the post system of new teachers' teaching assistants, and improve the post management system of teaching assistants in the whole process of selection, training, evaluation, encouragement and feedback. The teaching auxiliary work undertaken by new teachers should be included in the assessment of teachers' workload, and those who perform well should give priority to the evaluation and promotion of professional titles.

.2 Young teachers should keep in mind their initial intentions, correct their thinking and improve the comprehensive quality of education and teaching.

(1) Keep a correct attitude.

Teachers' primary responsibility is to teach and educate people, so teachers should first have the correct teaching attitude and good teaching quality. We should take the theme education of "Do not forget your initiative mind, Keep in mind the mission" as an opportunity, firmly establish the initial intention and mission of "teaching and educating people" in the hearts of young teachers, actively and independently improve their teaching skills and professional quality, and improve and enrich their comprehensive quality.

(2) Attend lectures frequently and reflect more, and actively participate in teaching and lecture competitions.

Standing on the platform is the first test for young college teachers. Before entering colleges and universities, young teachers often only pay attention to scientific research and have little experience in teaching and lecturing. Therefore, young teachers should be aware of their own shortcomings and deficiencies, learn from experienced teachers, actively participate in school or college teaching and lecture competitions, constantly reflect on their teaching methods and literacy, and improve their teaching business ability.

(3) Integrating scientific research into teaching to promote teaching.

In the process of teaching, we should pay attention to passing on the latest cutting-edge achievements to students, so that students can understand the development direction and cutting-edge of the subject while learning basic theoretical knowledge, which can stimulate students' enthusiasm and curiosity in class to a greater extent and is more conducive to the realization of teaching objectives.
