Unit functions: According to the Notice of Leshan Municipal People's Government of Leshan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China on Printing and Distributing (Le Wei Fa [20 10] 12), Leshan Education Bureau (hereinafter referred to as the Municipal Education Bureau) is established as the working department of Leshan Municipal People's Government.

(a) to implement the principles, policies, laws and regulations of the party and the state on education, study and formulate the city's education policies and supervise their implementation.

(two) to formulate the city's education system reform policy, education development plan and annual plan and organize their implementation, and be responsible for the overall planning and coordinated management of all kinds of education; To be responsible for the statistics, analysis and release of the basic information of the education system; Guide the construction of educational informatization.

(3) To be responsible for the overall management of education funds in this department, participate in the formulation of policies and measures for raising education funds, education appropriations and education infrastructure investment, supervise the raising and use of education funds in the whole city, and guide and manage the implementation of education aid, education loans and education cooperation projects outside the country (territory). Put forward opinions on the items and standards of education fees, cooperate with the price and financial departments to standardize school fees and control various arbitrary charges. Responsible for the city's work-study program management.

(four) overall management and coordination of the foreign affairs of the city's education system; Undertake the education system and international exchanges and cooperation with Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

(five) to guide the ideological and political, moral education, teaching, sports health and aesthetic education, labor and technology education, national defense education and safety and stability of all kinds of schools in the city. Cooperate with relevant departments to protect the physical and mental health of underage students and safeguard their legitimate rights and interests.

(six) in charge of the work of teachers in the city, responsible for planning and guiding the construction of teachers in the city; According to the establishment standards, guide all kinds of schools to approve the establishment of teaching staff and post setting; Responsible for primary and secondary school teachers' qualification identification, recruitment, professional and technical post qualification evaluation, training, continuing education and assessment management; Guide the reform of the school's internal management system and personnel distribution system.

(seven) to coordinate and manage the selection, appointment and training of primary and secondary school principals in the city; To undertake the examination, appointment and removal of school leading cadres within the scope of management authority.

(eight) the overall management of all kinds of schools at all levels in the city's academic education examination work; Organize the enrollment work of schools at all levels; To undertake the daily work of the Municipal College Admissions Committee and the Higher Education Self-study Examination Committee.

(nine) planning and guiding the city's educational research and the promotion of educational research results, and managing the planning, development and construction of the city's educational information, technical equipment and distance education.
