Wuhan Institute of Shorthand for Secretaries, Ministry of Education, has a long history and specializes in training secretaries and shorthand talents. The predecessor of this college was 1946, a training course for cadres of the Central Secretariat founded by China in Yan 'an. In order to meet the needs of the new situation, in March of 1947, Yan 'an Cadre School changed the original clerical department into secretarial department.
1948 In August, the training course for cadres of the Central Secretariat was renamed as the training course for senior secretaries in the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, and the school moved to Xibaipo, Pingshan, Hebei.
1949 In March, the training course for senior secretaries of the Central Secretariat was renamed as the training course for secretaries of the Secretariat of the Central People's Government and moved to Beijing. 1950 In September, the training course for secretaries of the Secretariat of the Central People's Government was renamed as the training course for secretaries and cadres in Beijing.
