1On June 25th, 950, the Korean War broke out. On the 27th, the US government announced that it would intervene in North Korea's internal affairs and send troops to invade North Korea. Ignoring the repeated statements and warnings of our government, the war spread to the northeast border of our country, which seriously threatened our security. In this regard, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China made a strategic decision to resist US aggression and aid Korea and defend the country. The Northeast Border Guard was established in Chinese people's Volunteer Army, with Peng as the commander. In June+10/October 19, 65438, they crossed the Yalu River and went to the front line to fight against the American invaders side by side with the Korean People's Army. Since then, according to the instructions of the CPC Central Committee, the publicity and education activities to resist US aggression and aid Korea have been widely carried out throughout the country, and the people of the whole country have devoted themselves to the vigorous movement to resist US aggression and aid Korea with practical actions. From June of 1950 to June of 195 1, Chinese people's Volunteer Army launched five offensive campaigns together with the Korean People's Army, which drove the enemy back to the vicinity of the 38th parallel, reversed the war situation and laid the foundation for the armistice negotiations and the victory of the Korean War. Then, after two years, the revolutionary hands of China and North Korea fought against the counter-revolutionary hands of the aggressors, and finally forced the American aggressors to sign an armistice agreement on July 27th, 1953. So far, the people of China have won a great victory in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. In the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, the Chinese and Korean armed forces wiped out more than 6,543.8+0.9 million people, including more than 397,000 American invaders, destroyed enemy planes and ships and seized countless strategic materials. The War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea safeguarded the security of the newly-born People's Republic, exposed the essence of American imperialism as a paper tiger, and inspired our people's confidence in building a new China independently.
