Under the current situation, "living a happy and complete educational life" is still just an ideal realm worth pursuing and a necessary utopia. It is the pursuit of a group of educational idealists and members of the new educational community to reaffirm the educational ideal and rebuild the ideal education. At the present stage, this pursuit is mainly reflected in the "four transformations" that Protestantism tries to achieve: changing the living conditions of students, changing the way teachers walk, changing the development model of schools, and changing the paradigm of education and scientific research. The way and method to realize these four changes is the "six major actions" advocated by the new educational experiment.
(A) to create a scholarly campus
By creating a rich reading atmosphere, integrating rich reading resources and carrying out colorful reading activities, reading has become the most daily way of life for teachers and students, thus promoting the formation of a scholarly society.
The new education believes that a person's growth and development history is a person's reading history; The spiritual realm of a nation depends largely on its reading level. Reading is the most important activity in education. The new education lists "building a scholarly campus" as the first of the six major actions, and refines it into several specific sub-projects, which effectively solves the problems of what to read and how to read for students of different grades, personalities and genders, and teachers of different levels and disciplines.
During the period of 2002-2006, New Education put forward the concept of "building a scholarly campus", hoping that primary schools could read 100 extra-curricular books, listen to 60 wonderful reports and write more than 600 diaries in six years, each student would give a speech 10 minutes a month, and teachers and students would have a home online and learn a useful skill in six years. According to the new educational experiment, if children can really spend six years like this, they can proudly say, "We are the people with the richest spiritual life!" " "New education also hopes that students with such a foundation will be guided to read 100 essential literary classics, including philosophical works, in junior high school and senior high school, so that they can be friends with books, truth, masters and become bright people. Under the influence of such cultural accumulation and classics, they will gradually have profound philosophical attainments, form a broad cultural vision and basic value judgments, they will be wise, discerning and energetic, they will correctly understand the world and examine their own lives, and they will soon internalize their precious cultural wealth into their spiritual veins!
In 2006, there was a breakthrough in "building a scholarly campus". Each experimental school has held its own reading festival and carried out various reading activities such as "book drifting" and "book flea market".

However, in recent years, a large number of articles and books published by experimental teachers reflect the theoretical growth of these experimental teachers, which cannot but be regarded as important or even fruitful results of new educational experiments. The new educational experiment advocates action and reflection, and pen reflection is an important part of the new educational experiment.
