Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, the main campus of which is located in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is a full-time ordinary undergraduate college with the management system jointly established by the central and local governments and in charge of Jiangxi Province and registered by the Ministry of Education.
A teaching and research university with the right to receive overseas Chinese, students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and international students is a Baosteel education award-winning university with the qualification of recommending outstanding undergraduates to study for master's degree without examination. The school was founded in 1958, formerly known as Jiangxi Institute of Metallurgy. 1988 was renamed Southern Institute of Metallurgy, and in 2004 it was renamed Jiangxi University of Science and Technology. The school once belonged to the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry and China Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation. 20 13 became a university jointly established by Jiangxi Provincial People's Government, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Ministry of Education.
