Henan's new college entrance examination policy is as follows:

Mao Jie, deputy director of the Provincial Department of Education, introduced that the new college entrance examination in our province started from the first-year students of ordinary high schools who enrolled in the autumn of 2022, and implemented the examination enrollment model of ordinary colleges and universities based on the unified college entrance examination and high school academic level examination results, with reference to comprehensive quality evaluation.

Since 2025, the general college entrance examination in our province has implemented the "3+ 1+2" model, regardless of arts and sciences. "3" refers to the three national unified college entrance examination subjects of Chinese, mathematics and foreign languages; "1" means 1, which is the first choice for the exam. Candidates must choose 1 from physics and history subjects to take the exam; "2" refers to two elective subjects, and candidates must choose two subjects from ideological politics, geography, chemistry and biology to take the exam.

The total score of candidates consists of three unified college entrance examination subjects and three ordinary high school academic level elective subjects, with a full score of 750. Among them, the original scores of Chinese and mathematics application are included in the total score of candidates, with a full score of 150 for each subject; The full mark of foreign language subjects is 150, including 30 points for listening and 120 points for written test. In 2025 and 2026, our province will continue the current scoring method.

Since 2027, listening scores have been included in the total score of foreign language scores. In the selection, the original score of the initial potato selection subject is included in the total score of the candidate, and the grade conversion score of the retest subject is included in the total score of the candidate, with a full score of 100 for each subject.

What is the difference between the "3+ 1+2" model and the traditional liberal arts branch? Lv Bing, a full-time member of the Education Working Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, said that under the "3+ 1+2" model, students can choose from 12 combinations independently, while traditional arts and sciences only have two fixed combinations for candidates to choose from. In the mode of "3+ 1+2", all the candidates' papers are exactly the same; However, the content and difficulty of traditional mathematics examination subjects are different.

The first batch of undergraduate courses and the second batch of undergraduate courses were merged. Liu Gang, secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Education Examinations Institute, said that there are four main changes in enrollment after the reform.

Batch setting: the first batch of undergraduate students and the second batch of undergraduate students are merged to further expand the scope of candidates' selection, and enrollment is not stratified and classified according to batches, which reflects the fairness of education and represents the direction of comprehensive reform of college entrance examination.

Admission: Under the voluntary setting of "College Specialty Group", admission control scores are determined according to the preferred subjects, physics and history, and parallel volunteer is admitted separately.
