Beijing Humanities University, formerly known as Beijing Humanities Correspondence University, 1984, 10 June, was established with the approval of Beijing Adult Education Bureau in response to the call of the Party and the state to "develop higher education through multiple channels, levels and forms".

According to the evaluation conditions of the higher education diploma examination school of the State Education Commission, Beijing Humanities University was evaluated by the Beijing Private Higher Education Evaluation Committee. On June 8th, 1997, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission issued the document "Beijing Education Society (1997)008", approving that Beijing Humanities University has the qualification to take the national higher education diploma examination.
