What should I learn in the third and fourth grades of primary school?
The third and fourth grades of primary school are very different from the first and second grades of primary school, because entering the third and fourth grades means that children enter the middle of primary school. At this stage, the difficulty of Chinese learning has changed greatly compared with grade one or two. So what is the literature of the third and fourth grades of primary school?

According to the "Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education" issued by the Ministry of Education in 20001,the content of Chinese learning in the third and fourth grades of primary schools is mainly divided into these parts:

First, the content of literacy and writing

1, accumulated knowledge of about 2500 commonly used Chinese characters, of which about 1600 words need to be written.

There is a glossary at the back of every children's Chinese book. The general requirement is that the vocabulary in table 1 should be recognized and the vocabulary in table 2 should be written.

2. Be able to read independently with the help of a dictionary and look it up. The dictionary includes word order retrieval and radical retrieval.

You must master the phonetic order search method and radical search method.

In addition, a Xinhua dictionary should be prepared for children to use when learning Chinese.

3. Be proficient in writing block letters with a hard pen, so as to be standardized, correct and neat, and can copy block letters with a brush.

In the third and fourth grades, children must get used to writing with black ink pens, usually in block letters. Teachers at school should also emphasize that if children don't behave, you should also set rules for them. At the same time, beginners should learn to write in block letters. If the school doesn't offer calligraphy classes, you can consider finding a calligraphy class for your children.

Repeat: Be sure to let children get used to writing with black ink pens, usually in block letters. This is a Chinese teacher's heartfelt cry!

4. Correct writing posture and good writing habits.

Correct writing posture has a great influence on protecting children's eyesight.

It is worth reminding that the correct writing posture needs to be constantly corrected and emphasized throughout the child's learning stage. Once bad writing posture becomes a habit, it will be very troublesome to correct it.

Second, the content of reading

1, can read silently and skim, and can read the text correctly, fluently and emotionally.

The advantage of silent reading and skimming is that it can help children improve their reading efficiency.

2, can contact the context, understand the meaning of keywords, grasp the main content of the article, and understand the thoughts and feelings expressed in the article.

The reading questions at this stage do not require children's understanding ability, but gradually require children to understand and grasp it as a whole.

3. Be able to retell the main idea of narrative works and read excellent poems with emotion.

Can cultivate children's habit of reading aloud in the morning, note: reading aloud, not singing.

4. Understand the usage of periods, commas, colons and quotation marks.

At this stage, the importance of punctuation should be emphasized.

5, will accumulate beautiful words in the text, wonderful sentences and wonderful language materials in extracurricular reading, and can recite 50 excellent poems (paragraphs).

There are mainly these articles:

Ode to Goose, Thoughts on a Quiet Night, Village Residence, A Gift to Wang Lun, Bees, Gulangyuexing, Leyuan Scenic Area, Looking at Lushan Waterfall, A Journey to the Mountain, Chai Lu, torii the Heron, A Note for the Absent and Compassion for the Farmers. Tomb-Sweeping Day, Xiaochi, Tixilin Wall, Visiting Shanxi Village, Sending Two Envoys to Anxi and Yellow Crane Tower to bid farewell to Meng Haoran on the way to Yangzhou, passing by the old people's village, sitting alone in Jingting Mountain, Wangdongting, memorizing Jiangnan, April in the country, and the pastoral interests of the four seasons, and

6. Develop the habit of reading books and newspapers. The total amount of extracurricular reading is not less than 400,000 words.

The following table is the reading list for the third and fourth grades recommended by Dou Guimei, the president of tsinghua university primary school and a famous special-grade teacher:

Third, the content of the exercise.

1, able to communicate with short letters and notes and write down your feelings and experiences.

Children can usually be consciously trained to use notes and letters (after they have learned these two applied styles) as tools to convey information and communicate feelings. It will be a good training method to take children for a walk in nature on weekends and encourage them to write down what they see.

2. Initially learn to correct the words and phrases with obvious mistakes in the composition, and the exercises will reach about 16 times per academic year.

Parents don't need to worry about writing 16 times every academic year, but the school Chinese teacher will make a request. Learning the good habit of correcting composition requires parents to gradually give up the habit of doing things in the first and second grades, so that children can learn to correct their homework and form a habit. This is a place to pay attention to.

Fourthly, the content of oral communication.

1, can listen to others carefully, know how to ask others, politely express their different opinions, and can completely relay what others say.

These are related to children's language ability, but more related to children's manners and self-cultivation, which is worth our efforts to cultivate.

2. Be able to tell stories more vividly and explain what you see clearly.

Children can be encouraged to tell stories in books they have read or things they have seen in life.

Verb (abbreviation of verb) is the content of comprehensive learning.

Can carefully observe and record truthfully, can collect information, have a sense of teamwork, and can use Chinese knowledge to solve problems.

These aspects should be cultivated consciously in life, and the content of comprehensive learning emphasizes children's comprehensive literacy.

Compared with grade one or two, the content of Chinese learning in grade three or four is much more. Let's take a quick look at how the dolls at home are doing! Perhaps because of this, the third and fourth grades are also called the "watershed" of Chinese learning in primary schools. Children who learn well will get better and better in the later stage of their studies. On the contrary, students who have not adapted to it may become more and more difficult in their future study! Parents with children in the third and fourth grades must pay more attention to their children's Chinese learning.
