Adhering to the goal of compound and international talent training, and responding to the talent training concept of "three leaps and four experiences" of Shandong University, the College actively builds overseas practice platforms for graduate students, providing overseas social practice platforms and teaching practice platforms for "liberal arts" students of Shandong University, and has sent more than 600 students to France, Australia, the Netherlands, Thailand and other 17 countries.

The College undertakes the training of international students in Shandong University, and undertakes many international projects such as China Government Scholarship, China Development Bank Scholarship, Confucius Institute Scholarship, "Confucius New Sinology Program" and China-Oman Friendship Exchange Scholarship. The scale of students has increased year by year, and the quality of students' education ranks among the top in the country.

There are 52 full-time teachers in the college, whose majors are literature, Chinese language, foreign languages, education, history, economy, management and other disciplines. Among them, 35 have doctoral degrees and are studying for doctoral degrees, and more than 70% of the teachers have overseas experience. Relying on the construction of China traditional culture research and experience base, the College has formed a cross-border, interdisciplinary and open academic research platform, which has brought together outstanding scholars in humanities and social sciences at home and abroad and cooperated with Shandong University, providing a strong teacher guarantee for personnel training.
