Under the command and supervision of the public security organs and their people's police, they shall perform the following duties according to their corresponding posts:

(a) public security patrol inspection, bayonet duty, receiving police, maintaining the order of large-scale public activities and unexpected cases (incidents), surrender of criminal suspects, dispute mediation, public security publicity and education and other police activities. (two) to divert traffic, discourage, check and correct traffic safety violations, maintain the order of traffic accidents, and carry out traffic safety publicity and education and other police activities; (three) community management, special industry management, dog management and other public security administrative activities; (4) Police activities such as information collection, data statistics and written records; (5) Police support activities such as professional technology and logistics; (six) other auxiliary police activities confirmed by the public security organs.

Article 26 of the People's Police Law of the People's Republic of China shall meet the following conditions: (1) a citizen who has reached the age of 18; (2) Support the Constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC); (3) Having good political and professional qualities and good conduct; (4) Being in good health; (5) Having graduated from high school or above; (6) Volunteering in the work of the people's police. Under any of the following circumstances, a person shall not serve as a people's policeman: (1) He has been criminally punished for a crime; (2) Being expelled from public office.
