189 1 year, Kang Youwei founded a 10,000-acre thatched cottage in Guangzhou, publicized the reform ideas, trained and brought up a large number of reform backbones such as Liang Qichao, Mai and Xu Qin, and became an important figure in the Reform Movement of 1898. Kang Youwei's works in Wanmu Caotang, such as New Learning Test and Confucius Reform Test, became the important theoretical basis of the Reform Movement. With the failure of the Reform Movement of 1898, Kang Youwei fled to Japan, and the 10,000-acre thatched cottage was sealed up by the Qing government on September 1898. Kang Youwei gave lectures in ten thousand mu thatched cottage, which lasted for seven years. The address of the third relocation hall is 189 1 year. Located at No.3 Changxing Lane, Zhongshan 4th Road, it was originally the Autumn Library. 1892 moved to Kuangjia Temple in Bian Wei Street (now Guangwei Road); 1893, due to more and more scholars, the main hall was moved to Yanggao Temple (now a palace on Wen Ming Road) in Gong Xue.
