Donghua Institute of Technology, referred to as "Donghua Institute of Technology", whose main campus is located in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, is the first institution of higher learning in China's nuclear industry. It is a pilot institution of the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education, a national defense education characteristic school, and also a selection and training base of China People's Navy NCO and a talent training base of China National Nuclear Corporation.

Donghua Institute of Technology has majors in environmental engineering, international economy and trade, chemical engineering and technology, statistics, materials science and engineering, geophysics, physical geography and resources and environment, nuclear chemistry and nuclear fuel engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and engineering, dance, data science and big data technology, and urban and rural planning.
Graduates majoring in nuclear engineering should have the following knowledge and abilities:
