(3) Early childhood (4-7 years old): The main development task at this stage is to gain the initiative and overcome guilt; Good personality is the target quality.
(4) Childhood (7- 12 years old): The main development task at this stage is to gain a sense of diligence and overcome the sense of inferiority; Good personality is the quality of ability.
(5) Adolescence (12- 18 years old): The main development task at this stage is to form role identity and prevent role confusion; Honesty is a good character.
(6) Early adulthood (18-25 years old): The main development task at this stage is to gain intimacy and avoid loneliness; Good character is the quality of love.
(7) Middle adulthood (25-50 years old): The main development task in this period is to acquire a sense of reproduction and avoid a sense of stagnation; A good personality is the quality of caring for others.
(8) Late adulthood (after 50 years old): The main development task at this stage is to gain a sense of perfection and avoid disappointment or disgust; A good character is wisdom and sagacity.
