Jiangsu Vocational College of Urban and Rural Construction is located in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, a high-quality highland of vocational education in Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan area jointly established by the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Province. It is a high-level vocational school in Jiangsu Province. The school is jointly managed by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Housing and Construction, and is in charge of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Housing and Construction. The school was formerly known as Jiangsu Urban Construction School founded by 1986 and Changzhou University of Construction Workers founded by 1979. There are two campuses, Yincun and Qingtan, with a total area of 8 13 mu and a total construction area of more than 270,000 square meters. There are 477 teaching and administrative staff in the school, including 237 full-time teachers, 54.87% teachers with master's degree or above, and 46 teachers with associate senior titles or above/kloc-0. There are nearly 1 1000 full-time students. The school has successively won the titles of National Advanced Vocational Education Unit, Jiangsu Advanced Moral Education Group, Provincial Civilized Unit (Campus), Provincial Popular Science Education Base, First Prize of Provincial Green Building Innovation Award, and Provincial Advanced Group of Building Energy Conservation and Green Building in the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, and won the Outstanding Contribution Award of the National Vocational College Skills Competition in 20 19, the first prize of National Green Building Innovation Award, and the provincial party committee and green building innovation award in 2020. Around the urban and rural construction industry, there are 39 higher vocational majors, mainly civil engineering majors, including 35 higher vocational majors in the last three years of high school, higher vocational majors in the last five years of junior high school 17, and overlapping majors in academic system 14. There are five provincial-level vocational demonstration majors, three provincial-level brand majors, four provincial-level five-year vocational evaluation excellent majors and seven municipal-level vocational demonstration majors, which are the most comprehensive vocational colleges in the province.
Among them, building intelligent engineering technology specialty group and engineering cost specialty group were selected as provincial high-level specialty group construction projects. "Safety Technology Prevention System Engineering" was selected as a provincial key textbook project, and "Construction Supervision Practice of Building Engineering" was selected as a national excellent textbook. Five projects (1 key specialty, three "double-qualified" teacher training bases, 1 productive training base) were approved by the action plan for innovative development of higher vocational education of the Ministry of Education.
