Confucius Institute at Novosibirsk State University of Technology
On April 8, 2007, Novosibirsk State Polytechnic University signed a letter of intent with Hanban of China, and the Confucius Institute at Novosibirsk State Polytechnic University was jointly established by Novosibirsk State Polytechnic University and Dalian Foreign Studies University of China. The college started operation on June 1 2007, and it is planned to hold an unveiling ceremony and formally start classes in September 2007.

Novosibirsk is the capital of Novosibirsk, Russian Federation, the largest city in Asia, and the third largest city in Russia after Moscow and St. Petersburg. A few years ago, Novosibirsk became the capital of one of the seven federal districts in Russia, and it was called the capital of Siberia. It is the economic, scientific and cultural center of the Russian Far East, with the largest library east of the Urals, the largest station of the Trans-Siberian Railway and the famous Russian ballet theater.

Novosibirsk has developed rapidly in recent ten years and has become an international exchange center with extensive contacts between the Far East and China. With convenient transportation, there are seven flights from Beijing to Novosibirsk and Beijing-Urumqi-Novosibirsk every week, and international trains from Beijing to Moscow and Beijing-Ulaanbaatar-Moscow pass through Novosibirsk twice a week.

Novosibirsk State Technical University was founded in 1950, formerly known as Novosibirsk Institute of Electrical Engineering, and renamed as Novosibirsk State Technical University in 1992, which is a famous university in Russia. The school has more than 200 teachers/kloc-0, including doctors, professors 127, associate professors and doctors 527. There are 245 part-time teachers, including doctors, professors 1 17 and associate professors and doctors 128. There are more than 25,000 students, including about 1000 foreign students, mainly from China, Mongolia, South Korea, Syria, Jordan and other countries.

The school has 14 colleges and departments and 80 teaching and research sections, such as aircraft department, radio department, practical mathematics and information department, information and computer technology department, technical physics department, electronic machinery department, mechanical technology department, economics department, law department, humanities department, power department and distance education college. Among them, the Sinology major in the Department of International Relations and Regional Relations has been increasing every year since its establishment, and now there are about 200 students in school.

Novosibirsk State University of Technology has many partners in China, besides Dalian International Studies University, which co-founded Confucius Institute with it, China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, China Aerospace Times Electronics Company, Harbin Institute of Technology, harbin university of science and technology, Harbin University of Commerce, Shenyang Institute of Aeronautics, Shanghai University of Electric Power, Jilin Russian Institute, Sichuan Chengdu Vocational and Technical College, etc. The school also conducts scientific research cooperation, academic exchanges and teacher-student exchanges with the above-mentioned cooperative units every year.

The college plans to offer long-term and short-term Chinese elementary, intermediate and advanced classes, as well as Chinese teacher training classes, Chinese business classes and Chinese children's classes, and make preparations for the establishment of China National Chinese Proficiency Test. In addition, the college plans to hold various cultural activities with rich contents, including lectures on China culture and history, China painting and calligraphy exhibition, China film appreciation, China song contest and so on. Teach China's martial arts, tea art and cooking, set up a publicity college and China's publications, organize outstanding students to travel to China, help those who want to study and work in China, and establish a membership system.

The College is determined to become an "excellent college" and strive to become the main base for promoting Russian culture and Chinese teaching in the Russian Far East, so that local people can know more about China and promote Russian-Chinese friendship and bilateral cooperation.
