What is the law against corporal punishment of students?
Corporal punishment of students violates the provisions of education law, compulsory education law, teacher law, minor protection law, tort liability law, criminal law and other relevant laws. Teachers who punish students physically and refuse to change after education shall be given administrative sanctions or expulsion. If the circumstances are serious enough to constitute a crime, the court shall investigate the criminal responsibility according to law.

Teachers and staff should respect the personal dignity of minors, and may not impose corporal punishment on minors, corporal punishment in disguised form or other acts that insult their personal dignity. Those who infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of minors shall be ordered by the administrative department of education or other relevant departments to make corrections, and the directly responsible person in charge and the directly responsible person shall be punished according to law.

Article 27 of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Protection of Minors.

Article 28

Schools shall guarantee the right of underage students to receive education, and shall not expel underage students in violation of state regulations or in disguised form.
