Audio-visual teaching background
Use audio-visual teaching equipment and audio-visual teaching materials for teaching. It is a modern teaching method to impart knowledge and skills and carry out ideological and moral education through slides, movies, recording, broadcasting, television, video recording and electronic computers. The United States and some western European countries call it "audio-visual teaching" and "machine teaching". Japan calls it "educational technology". Audio-visual teaching plays an important role in popularizing military scientific knowledge, improving the quality of military training and accelerating personnel training.

19 In the 1990s, slides were first used for teaching. At the beginning of the 20th century, records and silent films began to be used in military training. From the 1920s to the 1940s, teaching tools such as broadcasting, talking movies and recording appeared one after another, and audio-visual teaching made new progress. Since the 1950s, closed-circuit television, program teaching machines and electronic computers have been widely used in the military of many countries, and audio-visual teaching has increasingly become an important teaching means in military training.
