The main responsibilities of the Education Bureau are:

(3) To be responsible for national basic education (including preschool education), special education, vocational and technical education, after-school education, adult education and higher education (including running schools by social forces), and to coordinate, guide and supervise the educational work of all districts, counties (countries) and relevant departments.

The responsibilities of the Personnel Unit of the Extended Information Education Bureau are as follows:

(1) Responsible for the procedures of teachers' retirement, determination of length of service, survivors' allowance, assessment, etc.

(2) Responsible for accounting the staffing of each school.

(3) Responsible for the training, assessment and appointment of principals within the authority of the education system.

(4) To be responsible for the employment guidance and employment reform of normal undergraduates.

(5) Responsible for the dispatch and management of border teachers.
