North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power (NCWU) is located in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Water Resources and Henan Province and mainly managed by Henan Province. It is a characteristic backbone university in Henan Province. It is the first batch of master's degree awarding units in China, the first batch of engineering universities with basic capacity building in central and western universities, the first batch of universities with international student enrollment qualifications, and the education and training plan for outstanding engineers of the Ministry of Education. It is the leading unit of the "BRICS Network University" in China, a member of the BRICS University Alliance, a member of the China-Russia Jiaotong University Alliance and a member of the World Water Council.
