Can I use a censer for Bodhisattva?
There are no obstacles. The offerings before the Buddha are superficial, such as water supply, flowers supply and incense supply. In terms of offering incense, whether it is a round incense burner or a lying incense burner, there are generally incense smearing and incense burning. Buddhist disciples should understand the real truth inside, and they should not be like ordinary people who have never studied Buddhism and cling to differences. Therefore, there is no difference between true Buddhist disciples and incense burners, and they will not be divided into tantric and sectarian.

Hua Yan Jing of Dafang Guangfo (Volume 916) 2002/12/15 File name of Hong Kong Buddha Education Association:12-17-0916 http://www.amtb.tw/.

There is a bright lamp. Photos taken with perfume. Draw incense and burn incense. By will.

Look at these four sentences, the first three sentences all have a "photo", and "photo" is light. What doesn't shine? These are commonly used offerings before the Buddha. We use fragrant flowers and water. What he said here was "Hua", "water" and "Xiang", and the most commonly used sacrificial utensils before the Buddha were all illuminated. Unfortunately, our karma is really deep. We didn't see the light or hear the sound. That "voice" is French pronunciation, we didn't hear it. It's a pity that we even do it and touch it every day.

What do flowers stand for in Buddhism? Xiuying. The fruit we provide represents fruit, so what is it for? Cause and effect come to supply, and good results come from good deeds. When we saw this flower, we thought, I want to plant a good career, my heart should be kind, my words should be kind, my actions should be kind, and there is no room for bad mixing. That flower means this. That's what flowers before Buddha mean, not flowers before Buddha? It also represents this meaning, so this "Hua Guang" shines on the whole void dharma circle.

Let's not talk about such a large scope. Let's talk about our earth. Where didn't you see flowers? Flowers cultivated in the garden and wild flowers in the field are all flowers. Even the clothes we wear now are embroidered with flowers and printed with flowers; We saw many people wearing hats with flowers on them. Painting, there are flowers in this painting. No matter where you see a flower, it represents a good result of cultivating goodness. This flower is shining. No matter what flowers are shining, wearing a floral dress is shining. People who will benefit, what benefits? Remind him to be conscious, mindful, always aware, and aware everywhere.

Ordinary people have deep karma and are very forgetful. They must remind you at all times, anytime and anywhere. How many people understand? How many people will? Indeed, only those who have entered the Mahayana can understand. Listen carefully, everyone. You don't know if you don't participate. Now that I've said it, you sound like you understand. After I finished this class, you forgot when you left the screen. Is that right? Didn't do it. What kind of phenomenon is it? There are no evil thoughts in your heart and no lies in your mouth. No matter at work, in daily life, or in communication with people, you can't make mistakes. Sorry, you won't.

Your body and mind are clean. In Buddhism, your body and mind are clean, and the benefits you get are protected by the Buddhas. The wisdom and virtue of the Buddhas bless you, they bless you in the dark, and the good gods support and bless you in the dark. All beings touch you, your magnetic field is different, your atmosphere is different, and people especially like to be close to you and help you. What is this? Fruit, good fruit You grow good fruit because you don't want good fruit. Good fruit comes naturally, where do you want it? Look at the expression of flowers. Flowers are used in speaking. Who said that? All buddhas and bodhisattvas use this image to tell you. Yes, the tribe said, will it? Those who meet will benefit; People who don't know what to do. Look at flowers every day, provide flowers every day, and there is a vase at home with many flowers for family to enjoy; Other than that, there is nothing. That's a real pity. "Guang" Well, now is the time.

Dear students, we still have to watch the first song and the sixth song:

There is a bright lamp. Photos taken with perfume. Draw incense and burn incense. By will.

The first sentence "Hua Guangguang" has been briefly introduced. Now let's look at the second sentence. "There is a perfume", which is water supply, and odorous water is called incense. We usually offer a glass of water in front of the Buddha. What does water supply mean? We know the meaning of offering flowers. Water supply is very important, water represents the heart, water has waves and the heart is moving. For this cup of water dedicated to the Buddha, it is best to use transparent glass for the cup and crystal cup for the first class; Now this kind of crystal cup is very common, and I see many, transparent ones. The water should be clear, so you can't make tea. Water represents the heart, and the heart should be clean and untouched, that is, clean; The heart is crazy, but it can't stand the waves. So what does this glass of water mean? Stands for purity and equality.

Water has light and can emit light. This "light" is the Prajna that represents self. Prajna wisdom follows the void method. There is so much knowledge about water supply, and water has the deepest meaning in Buddhism. Therefore, in our simplest small Buddhist temple, if it is inconvenient to burn incense, offer flowers and lanterns, we will offer a glass of water. Inside the altar, this is the center. Think about it, it represents the pure heart and the equal heart; Pure equality means not being fascinated, that is, being conscious. When it works, it is sincere and compassionate. How perfect you mean!

Why is it called perfume There is no perfume in front of the Buddha, not anywhere. Sea, sea is water, and big sea water has a taste. This smell is called perfume. River water, river water, well water, no matter where you see water, tea is also water; Tea is fragrant and colored. In short, no matter where you see water, you should think that water should be clean and equal, my heart should be like water, and water should be clean and equal. That milkshake? When he was delusional and separated, he wavered, just like water waves. It's not clean inside. He's paranoid. He's persistent. Therefore, when we see unclean water, we must break our delusion and break our persistence; When you see water moving and waves, you have to say goodbye. It's saying, it's glowing, it's glowing all over, do you understand this? Why do you supply this glass of water? Therefore, water is also everywhere in the void dharma, so we must understand this meaning. It says it reminds us that we must cultivate a sense of purity and equality.

The sense of purity and equality is in the infinite life sutra. The Buddha told us that it was the title of Amitabha, and Amitabha had a name called purity and equality. You can all know it when you read the Infinite Life Sutra. So, does this glass of water teach us to practice the Pure Land Method? Does it teach us to cultivate a pure land for survival? What are the conditions for the survival of pure land? Look at the water. Look carefully. This is the condition of "the Buddha's land is clean when the heart is clean", and the western world is pure land (not on our exhibition board), which is pure land. The truth of pure land is to purify the heart, which we have to know; Buddhist chanting is both a method and a means. What books do you read about Buddhism? Read the heart of a child, that's what I mean. If you don't understand this truth, you will still have persistent delusions in your mind every day, which is what the ancients said, "It's no use talking in a panic and having a broken throat."

What is our heart today? It's dirty and still fluctuating. Delusion and persistence are serious. What is that? Strong winds and waves. The wind is an external environment, and you can't stand six touches of the external environment. Follow your heart with joy, and joy fluctuates; If you don't agree with your heart, your heart will shake, your life will shake, and your heart will shake every day. When your heart is as calm as water, just as we supply water in front of the Buddha, the realm of six touching six dust can remain motionless in good times, bad times and good or bad luck. That's right.

Our glass of water is unclean, and this uncleanness means persistence, earnest persistence, which we often call selfishness. You have a selfish heart and your water is not clean; You have a well-known heart, not clean; You have likes and dislikes, likes and dislikes, and your heart is not clean; You covet the enjoyment of five desires and six dusts, but you are also greedy, suspicious and unclean. The water is turbid. How can we get rid of this turbidity and make it clean again?

So this place is "made with perfume". Clean water is shining, and polluted water is also shining; Silent water glows, and stormy water glows. What is this? Do what you want. After reading it, you should know how to shine. Think about our own mind. Is our mind moving or static? Is it clean or dirty? I'll believe that when I see it. On the whole, we are sober. I know now that my heart is unclean, my heart is uncertain, I know; Knowing is understanding, and practicing after understanding. We should correct this problem after awakening, so we call it learning before learning. How to remove this stain and restore purity? How to get rid of fluctuations and restore calm? This is "taking pictures with perfume". This "perfume" is also spread all over the void dharma circle. Which method is not Buddhism? Really, the question is, will you? If you know it, there will be no Buddhism and no Buddhism. Look at the third sentence again.

"Painting incense and burning incense photos", "painting incense" is applied to the body, and "burning incense" is burning. Maybe we burn more incense when we support the Buddha, but when we use it ourselves, it smells much more fragrant. Now many people use perfume. We learn Mahayana differently from Hinayana. Hinayana can't be used with incense or fancy clothes. Hinayana Mahayana is different. Look at Mahayana Bodhisattva. It's all fashion. Look at Guanyin Bodhisattva and Guanyin Bodhisattva, ancient statues, wreaths and wreaths. Today, we will talk about jewelry. The bodhisattva has a bracelet on her arm, and this one has a necklace hanging down, called a wreath. There are flowers on the hat, and there are many jewelry decorations, Mahayana; Not the same as Hinayana. So Mahayana is fragrant. We use perfume now. Anything applied to the body is called perfume.

What does the incense show? In particular, wearing incense means five dharma bodies, indicating abstinence and wisdom, abstaining from incense, and fixing incense and wisdom. Can I use it? You can use it. After using it, always remind yourself whether I have practiced abstinence, abstinence and abstinence. It's called quintuple incense, that's what it means. You light a incense in front of the Buddha, especially in the modern living environment, living in the city, and most of them live in apartments. There is not much space in the apartment. If you burn too much incense, it will cause air pollution. If the family will object to learning Buddhism, burn a incense. Incense is expression. This incense burns well, and our own economic ability can do it. Try to buy good incense and one; You get up in the morning to do morning classes, one incense, one evening class, and one incense. Usually, it's just water supply. You have to understand this.

Burning incense not only shows caution and wisdom, but also shows faith in incense. I want to believe in Buddhism. The word "letter" is so difficult that I don't know it. I was specially taught by Teacher Li. This is my becoming a monk. It took me two years to be appointed. When you come back from the ring, you must worship the teacher. This is the rule. Go and worship the teacher. I went to Taichung to see his old man. Before I entered the house, his old man saw me walking inside and pointed at me and said, You have to believe in Buddhism, you have to believe in Buddhism. Said a few words. I walked up to him and saluted him. He told me to sit down. When I sat down, he said to me, did you hear what I just said to you? I heard you. Believe in Buddhism. What do you mean, you know? I can't answer this question.

His old man said: You have studied Buddhism for so many years. I was ordained in the ninth year of studying Buddhism and became a monk for two years. In the past two years, I have also taught Buddhist colleges and often talked about scriptures. Don't you still believe in Buddhism? Yes! We heard you, yes! That's right. I don't believe in Buddhism. Why did I come to convert? Why did you come to study with the teacher? Why do you want to become a monk? Why do you want to be appointed? Of course I believe in Buddhism. Shake your head, or else. What else is there in Buddhism? He said: There are many old monks who don't believe in Buddhism until they die. This sentence made me dumbfounded. How come the old monk didn't believe in Buddhism until he died of old age? How to believe in Buddhism? Finally, his old man said: you have done everything that Buddhism guided you to do. This is called believing in Buddhism. I suddenly realized. Buddhism is yours, you didn't do it, you don't believe it, that's good. Buddhism is mine, not mine. Of course I don't believe it. I want to believe, of course. This makes it clear that the word "believing in Buddhism" is not easy.

Burning this incense in front of the Buddha represents a letter. I can believe and understand what the Buddha says in the classics; You do everything you understand. Don't believe it unless you do it. When I left home, I was consecrated and lectured on the platform, but I still didn't believe it. Teacher Li has a high level. We generally say, what is a letter? Superstition, most people believe that Buddhism is true. What is Buddha? I don't know. I said I believed it. What did the Buddha say in the scripture? I wonder how Buddhism teaches us to practice. I don't know, it's called superstition! I believe in Buddhism in a daze, and I have lived in a daze all my life and died in hell. Why is it so serious? How can there be such a big crime? Yes What crime? You wear this dress to show this image, you don't follow the teachings, and you destroy the image of Buddhism. Think about this crime, yes! You see, the Buddha is talking about five criminals, breaking with monks and falling into hell. Destroying the Buddha statue is the same as breaking the monk.

Only then can I really understand why Indian mages don't accept shaved disciples. There are three nos in the printing master; The first is not to be an abbot, the second is not to shave people, and the third is not to preach precepts or quit monks. He won't even become a monk or become a teacher. What do you mean? The man left home and was ordained as a priest. If he can't follow the teachings, then if you shave one, don't you just send one to hell in A Bi? Don't you have a grudge against anyone? When people fall into hell, they will blame you. You didn't make this clear. Tell others. You made it clear that he didn't do it, so the responsibility is his; You didn't make it clear, you didn't make it clear, you didn't know how to persuade, and you couldn't get away with it. What Yin Zufa showed us at the end was true wisdom.

If you meet someone who is really well-rooted and blessed, then I'm sure Yinzu will understand. This man is hard to find. Where can I find it? Especially when we see the modern society, we think that the printing master's approach is correct. This is self-presentation, which teaches us that this is a first-class event and a first-class difficulty. So when you burn incense, you have this meaning. Faith shows sincerity. Through sincerity, we can have a feeling of friendship with all buddhas and bodhisattvas, and feel sincere and empathetic.

Burning incense has another meaning. The incense was lit until it was finished. What do you think it smells like? We burn incense to all buddhas and bodhisattvas, to all sentient beings, to ourselves and others. This is now the so-called sacrifice in general religion. Look at this image of incense. Are taught to us. We burn incense every day, do we remind ourselves to sacrifice ourselves for others sooner or later? Where do you do it? Do it visually. Give up your troubles and habits, make a good appearance for others, and give up yourself! Sit, sit there, don't just pretend to show it to others; Standing has a standing phase, sitting has a sitting phase. What is this? Power.

Misha has ten commandments and twenty-four kinds of dignity. He abides by his teaching and sets a good image for others by restraining himself. What's this feeling? Just like performing on the stage, the role of dressing up should be very similar, not casual or sloppy. The image of becoming a monk; At home, the image of home. No matter what industry you are in, you should act like someone in your industry. You have to play an enlightened stage, a clean stage and a solemn stage, so that people in your industry will respect you and follow your example. Buddhas and bodhisattvas appear in all walks of life, men, women and children, so you should be like them; Boys should be like rich boys and virgins like dragon girls. What role to play, what role to play, the image of Buddha and Bodhisattva.

Therefore, the image of Buddha and Bodhisattva is the image of the awakened one. Do we realize that? You can't play a confused and upside-down stage. Therefore, the Buddha disciples are perfect, not upside down. Burning incense has such a deep meaning in it, can it? Can you understand? Can you follow the instructions? There is a five-point body fragrance in the fragrance, which has a deep meaning. If you know everything and understand everything, you will burn the incense of this infinite merit, and this incense will shine on the whole void dharma world. Buddhas are glad to care for their thoughts, and heaven and man respect them. So it is "painting incense and burning incense."

In Buddhism, there is also a kind of incense. What is this one? The last fragrance. The last fragrance can be painted or burned. Because this place is fu, limited to the number of words, omitted. The words are omitted and the meaning is complete. This kind of powder is what we call powder in China. It can be painted, so it can be painted on the body or burned. Burning incense as we do, there is burning sandalwood powder, which is ground into fine powder and belongs to end incense. Therefore, incense can be divided into these three categories in terms of image. Now there is a perfume that can also burn. When it is lit, the fragrance is released. We didn't have this before, but we saw it in the market recently. It is liquid, burning and fragrant. If you don't exceed these three categories, you must know how to express them, and they all have bright spots. There are many offerings in this later scripture, and I will report to you in the next scripture. Last sentence, this is the reason for the summary.

All because of the online will. This is about flowers, fragrance and water. Let's think about it. Indeed, if there is no pure big wish, this big wish is "seeking Buddha and Tao, turning all beings into the next", which is Bodhi's big wish. This wish is pure, without any swearing and selfishness. This wish is called "net wish". There is a trace of selfishness, fame and fortune in it, which is unclean. In other words, you can't get these three kinds of support, the real intellectual benefits. This offering combines the expression and "pure wish" in offering, which is the pure religion of Buddha and the addition of Bodhisattva Dharma to our practice of Taoism. You see, let's see, listen and smell, and never leave the correct consciousness.

Then let's think about it. Isn't this what many buddhas and bodhisattvas are talking about? When did the Buddhist Bodhisattva stop talking about sentient beings? What method are you talking about? I'm telling you, it's the Huayan Sutra of the generous and broad Buddha. Where is the Huayan Sutra of Dafang Guangfo? Not in the scriptures, but in the void, all sentient beings in the dharma world, the realm of six dust that your six roots contact, that is, "generous and broad Buddha and strict." Really? Lively and active, we never leave our side. This Buddha, Balugai Tathagata. Baluchina is Sanskrit, meaning everywhere. Buddha is everywhere, Dharma is everywhere, and Bodhisattva is everywhere. Isn't that what I said before, doing all kinds of programs?

How can a person who knows how to practice bathing and grow good roots in the Tathagata holy teaching every day not achieve it? Achievements, of course. Does he still need to go through a lot of trouble? We believe that the rich boy mentioned in Hua Yan Jing has been proved to be a complete Buddha fruit all his life. In the mind of a boy who is good at managing money, ordinary people and students are themselves. Shancai has no companions, classmates and classmates. There is only one person on the Bodhisattva Road, and the others are Buddhas. Infinite Buddhas have achieved this Bodhisattva and become Buddhas. Think about it, this meaning is incredible, it is a fact.
