Folk paper-cutting art has a unique and multifaceted influence on children. Mainly through cutting, gluing, digging and carving to express art. It has won the children's love with its unique techniques and fun. By letting children use their hands and brains to exercise their hand-eye coordination and fine movements of small muscles, they can promote their intellectual development and germinate their creative thinking.

Our garden started to carry out children's folk art paper-cutting activities last year, with the purpose of 1, to stimulate children's interest in paper-cutting activities, cultivate children's aesthetic taste, stimulate children's love for folk paper-cutting art and folk culture, and enhance children's national pride. 2, improve children's paper-cutting skills, enhance hands-on ability, and promote children's imagination and creativity.

When carrying out paper-cutting activities, we follow three principles:

Interest is the best teacher. In order to cultivate children's paper-cutting skills, it is very important to stimulate their interest. If children have a strong interest in paper-cutting, they will actively use their senses to see, listen, think and do, and actively explore, thus promoting their paper-cutting potential to be well developed. In the teaching of paper-cutting, we don't use compulsory education to train children. However, according to children's physiological and psychological characteristics, we should adopt different interesting ways to cultivate children's interest in paper-cutting. Let children participate in paper-cutting activities happily, thus stimulating their creative desire. For example, when organizing small class children to carry out paper-cut "Deer House", the small class teacher took the children to the sika deer farm in our village, so that the children could feed the deer themselves, have a look and touch it, which fully aroused the children's interest. When children make paper-cuts, they know quite well, and they create with their love for deer. When the works are displayed, the children's sense of accomplishment can be imagined.

2. Cultivate children's observation ability.

Paper-cutting is a folk art, and its themes all come from life and nature. Therefore, when children create paper-cuts, they first need to have some life experience, which requires children to be a conscientious person in daily life, learn to observe and be good at observing. In a paper-cutting activity, a teacher organized children to cut together "hand in hand". Before organizing paper-cutting, she first led her children to play games hand in hand, so that they could observe the way their friends held hands, and let them have a deep perception of hand in hand when cutting paper, knowing where to cut and where to pick up.

3, from shallow to deep, from easy to difficult, step by step.

In paper-cutting teaching, according to children's physical and mental development level, from easy to deep, from easy to difficult, purposefully and systematically put forward new requirements step by step, so that children can gradually improve their paper-cutting skills and aesthetics. The children began to learn paper-cutting. We first let the children visually cut at will, including visually cutting straight lines, visually cutting broken lines and visually cutting curves. The purpose is to cultivate children's interest in paper-cutting and skillfully use scissors. When children learn to use scissors skillfully, they learn to cut along the contour line. Include cutting a straight pattern along a line. Such as rectangle, triangle, trapezoid and some irregular figures. Cut circular arc and elliptical arc along the line. It is difficult for children to master the circular arc, and it is often the case that the circle is cut into polygons. This requires teaching children to rotate the paper with their left hand and right hand when cutting, so as to cut out smooth graphics. After children master straight lines and arcs, they can cut some object shapes along the lines. First cut some large areas with simple lines, such as houses and trees, and then gradually deepen the difficulty, and cut some graphics with complex lines and details, such as various small animals, children, flowers and trees. Symmetrical shearing is based on visual shearing. Let children pass through symmetrical scissors, and half of them will become one pair, and one pair will become two. Then, on the premise of existing paper-cutting experience, learn hollow scissors. Fold, cut, hollow out and cut out patterns and decorative lines on the outline of objects. Such as animal eyes and lace, fruits on trees, patterns on animals, etc. Through many practical operations, children's paper-cutting level has been greatly improved on the original level, and then developed from symmetrical scissors to multiple folding scissors, that is, after folding the paper for many times, the connected patterns are cut out. In many folding and cutting activities, we should pay attention to the fact that the number of folding layers should not be too many and the paper should not be too thick, otherwise the child's wrist is not strong enough to cut; Secondly, the most important thing is to pay attention to the connection points of the patterns and not to take them out of context.

In order to better carry out paper-cutting activities, our kindergarten sent many teachers to study in Shanghai, Beijing and other places, and opened special classrooms as paper-cutting studios. Every class has a paper-cutting activity area, and children's paper-cutting works are indispensable in halls and corridors, which lays a good foundation for the development of paper-cutting activities. On Children's Day this year, our paper-cutting activities are open to parents. No matter the children in large or small classes, their skillful paper-cutting skills have aroused the amazement of every parent present.
