The duplicate checking rate can no longer be used as a single criterion to judge whether the undergraduate graduation thesis is qualified or not. The Measures require that the provincial education administrative departments use the sampling information platform to detect the academic misconduct of the sampled papers, and the results can be used for expert review and reference. At the same time, they should also organize peer experts to comment on the randomly matched sampling papers and put forward their own opinions.
The sampling inspection of undergraduate graduation thesis will focus on the significance of topic selection, writing arrangement, logical structure, professional ability and academic norms. The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Education particularly emphasized that the sampling inspection of doctoral dissertations focuses on the innovation and scientific research ability of graduate students, while the sampling inspection of undergraduate dissertations focuses on the basic academic norms and basic academic literacy of undergraduates.
The sampling inspection of undergraduate graduation thesis will be divided into two parts: initial evaluation and re-evaluation
In the initial evaluation stage, each paper is sent to 3 peer experts, and graduation papers with more than 2 (including 2) experts' comments as "unqualified" are regarded as "problematic graduation papers". Of the three experts, 1 expert's evaluation is "unqualified", and two experts from the same industry will be sent for re-evaluation.
In the re-evaluation stage, experts who exceed 1 position (including 1 position) among the two re-evaluation experts will be judged as "unqualified" and regarded as "problematic graduation thesis".
