Has the reception education been cancelled?
Accommodation education is a compulsory education reform measure for those who are not punished according to the criminal law. It is an administrative punishment measure. So, was it abolished? I have compiled this knowledge for you below, welcome to read!

Last May 16, actor Huang Xbo was detained for being involved in pornography 15 days. After the expiration, he was transferred to reeducation through labor for half a year. At 23: 29 on June 8, Weibo Middle School released the staff who claimed to be the real-name certification of Huang Xbo. Huang Xbo said that "the mistake has reached this point and is willing to accept it. Only single-minded change! I sincerely hope that all walks of life will be wide. Please take me as a warning! "

Reception education has not been abolished until now, and it was not until the incident of Huang Xbo came out that it really entered the field of public opinion.

Recently, more than 40 legal scholars and lawyers, including Professor Jiang Ping and Ying * from China University of Political Science and Law, and Tian Xchang, director of the Criminal Professional Committee of the National Lawyers Association, jointly suggested that the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) abolish the system of asylum education. More than 40 people, including Jiang Ping, drafted the Proposal on Abolishing the Admission Education System, which will be submitted to the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) for deliberation in the near future.

Detention and repatriation, reeducation through labor and detention education are the three vicious laws in China. They have different names, but the essence is the same. In 2003, detention and repatriation were abolished, and reeducation through labor was abolished in 20 13. Now, only the last bastion of asylum education remains to be overcome.

There is a background that asylum education has not been abolished until now. First of all, for a long time, not many people knew about this system, and it didn't really enter the field of public opinion until it came out. Secondly, detention, repatriation and reeducation through labor are often aimed at innocent people, while the detention and education system punishes "bad guys" in the eyes of many people, such as whoring and taking drugs. Therefore, the first two are easy to arouse public anger, while the latter is often tolerated by some people.

Third, and most importantly, compared with detention and repatriation and reeducation through labor, detention education will bring huge economic benefits to public security. For example, through the stick of education, citizens can be coerced to accept punishment honestly, pay fines and even bribe officials. For those prominent and expensive property owners, in addition to public security fines, they can also be further squeezed through shelter education, because after being taken in, they often have to "go out" at all costs. It is precisely because of this that the underground industry of "fishing for people" has been derived, which has brought huge corruption benefits to some officials.

Legal scholars have come forward to declare war on asylum education. The key lies in the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC)'s attitude. Because the education on prostitution and whoring originated from 199 1 "the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC)'s Decision on Prohibiting Prostitution and Whoring", then the State Council formulated the "Measures for Education on Prostitution and Whoring" accordingly.

The NPC Standing Committee (the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress) is a legislative body. Its duty should be to protect the law and the Constitution and say no to all extrajudicial punishments. On April 4th this year, Zhao Xiaole, a feminist worker, asked the provincial government and the public security department to disclose the situation of the education system. The Jiangxi Provincial Public Security Bureau replied that the public security organs in this province have never set up a reception and education center for prostitutes. Since the Law on Public Security Administration Punishment, which came into effect on March 1 2006, did not provide detention education for prostitutes, the public security organs in Jiangxi Province did not provide detention education for prostitutes after that day. A provincial public security department, with such awareness, can't the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) compare with others?

In fact, a month before more than 40 legal scholars made suggestions to the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), a letter containing 108 signature was sent to the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), proposing to abolish the legal provisions on the education of asylum. Co-sponsors include Guo, former deputy director of the Research Office of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) Law Committee, and professor of Peking University Law School.

I admit that, due to the special national conditions in China, the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), as a legislature, cannot have the final decision on the establishment or abolition of residential education. However, it still has a lot of room for action. Using the channels within the system to end this evil law can play a key role as long as it wants to do it.
