Liaoning Special Education Teachers College, formerly known as Liaoning Secondary Vocational and Technical School for the Disabled, was established with the approval of the provincial government in 20 12 and in March 20 13. It is an independent college of higher special education in our province. The Provincial Department of Education approved the implementation of the "3+2" higher vocational specialty with separate enrollment, examination and admission, and the three-year higher vocational specialty was jointly run with Liaoning Health Vocational and Technical College, Liaoning Economic Vocational and Technical College and Liaoning Normal University for Nationalities. As a key livelihood project of the provincial government, the new campus is located in Dongling District, Shenyang. Modern campus, perfect teaching equipment and leading barrier-free facilities in China have laid a solid foundation for students' development. After years of construction and development, the comprehensive strength of the school has been significantly enhanced, and a talent training system has been formed, in which disciplines such as art, medicine, e-commerce and special education support each other, and three-year and five-year higher vocational colleges, one-year and three-year secondary vocational schools develop in harmony. It is one of the largest vocational colleges for the disabled in China.
The school takes "great love for educating people, living with dignity and working with dignity" as its educational philosophy, and "learning to be a man, learning to learn to do things and learning to survive" as its educational goal, and actively explores the talent training mode of "school-enterprise cooperation, work-study combination and on-the-job internship" to achieve zero docking between teaching and employment needs and improve students' comprehensive professional ability and employment level. Students have successively won grand prizes in the National Disabled Persons' Federation System Vocational Skills Competition, the National Art Exhibition for Deaf College Students, the National Civilized Style Competition for Secondary Vocational Schools, the 4th and 5th Vocational Skills Competition for the Disabled in Liaoning Province and the 2nd Business Plan Competition in Liaoning Province. The school has successively won the honorary titles of "National Advanced Unit for Special Education", "Liaoning Advanced Unit for Special Education System" and "Shenyang Advanced Unit for Employment and Entrepreneurship of College Graduates". The main leaders of Liaoning Province, such as Zhang, Chen, Yang and Yang, visited the school many times and fully affirmed the achievements made by the school.
