Zhuji Agricultural University, formerly known as Zhejiang Silkworm College, is the earliest agricultural vocational and technical school in China. After vicissitudes of life, it changed its name frequently, including Zhejiang Sericulture Technical School and Zhejiang Zhuji Sericulture College, until 1972 was upgraded to Zhuji Agricultural University and 1978 was closed. The original site is Shaoxing Agricultural School.

Jiyang College of Zhejiang A&F University (formerly Tianmu College of Zhejiang A&F University), located in Shaoxing, was founded in 2000. It was applied by Zhejiang Forestry College (the predecessor of Zhejiang A&F University) and approved by Zhejiang Provincial People's Government as a full-time undergraduate independent college.
