According to the records in Selected Records of imperial academy in the New Tang Dynasty, imperial academy is divided into six colleges:

Four subjects

Fruit science

Imperial academy (feudal period of China)

Law (Law School)

Calligraphy (Chinese Department)

Mathematics (Science and Engineering)

Examples of teachers and students include four subjects:

There are 6 doctors, 6 teaching assistants, 4 lecturers and students 1300, including 500 children of officials and nobles and 800 children of ordinary people.

Arithmetic, as its name implies, is the study of arithmetic.

In mathematics, Sun Zi and Cao Wu are limited to one year old, Nine Chapters and Island are three years old, Zhang Qiujian and Xiahou Yang are one year old, Zhou Chuan and Wu are one year old, seal script is four years old, Ji Gu is three years old and Xiahou Yang is three years old.

The enrollment age of the School of Mathematics is 14~ 19, in which the academic qualifications are:
