I. Responsibilities and functions

1. Implement the national guidelines, policies, laws and regulations on education, take the lead in formulating major policies and measures for education reform and development in the whole region, coordinate and organize the implementation of comprehensive education reform, and conduct examination and approval according to the management authority;

2, to guide the region's preschool education, primary education, basic education (middle school) teaching reform and teaching management, the implementation of national and provincial basic education curriculum. To guide the running, education reform and education management of secondary vocational education in the whole region, and organize the implementation of enrollment management and enrollment policies of secondary vocational schools in the whole region;

3, cooperate with relevant departments to do a good job of conscription. Undertake the daily work of the District Lifelong Education Promotion Committee; Relevant regulations and measures to guide the enrollment of high school education schools in the whole region. Responsible for the organization, management and supervision of general college entrance examination, adult college entrance examination, higher education self-study examination and general high school basic examination;

4. Formulate long-term and annual plans for the development of education in the whole region, be responsible for participating in the policy and supervision of education funds in the whole region, guide the education audit work in the whole region, check and urge the investment in education in all schools, and be responsible for guiding the education management of educational equipment, information infrastructure, student financial assistance and infrastructure in all schools in the whole region;

5. Make plans for the construction of teachers, guide the training of primary and secondary school teachers and principals in the whole region, be responsible for the employment and deployment of teachers and the management of teachers, formulate opinions on the implementation of wages and benefits in the education system, undertake the commendation of teachers in the whole region, and cooperate with relevant departments to do a good job in the foreign exchange and cooperation of the education system in our region;
